etiolated tree aloe

I have a buch of seed grown tree aloes (they look like africana or aloides with very lonk leaves) The make mmultiple trunk trees.
Many are etiolated. Will the thin trunk fill out in sun? Should I cur the back to start over or re-root the crown? What generaly happens to trunks of etiolatd aloes?
