Agave help

Post by ydna976 »

I noticed one of my agaves (still not sure which agave it is though) has one leaf shrivelling up and turning dark brown/black. I don't know if cutting it out would just make things worse for the plant.

Any help on what I should do and what you guys think this is would be great! Thanks.

I would just trim off the dead portion. I don't think it would hurt the plant or make things any worse.

It's one of the oldest leaves on the plant, it's no problem. If young, vigorous leaves start dying back, then you have something to worry about.
