Only problem is that I do not know the supplies I will need to have in order to grow the seeds...

A pot, just a small one will do.

Starting in an enclosed humid environment is best, certainly for germination, but also for at least a few weeks after that. E. grusonii comes up pretty big and doesn't need to sit in a sauna for 6 months.
A spot where they can be warm without being in direct sun. This might be a propagator of some sort. It can be difficult to get the 85F or so that is a good day temperature for cactus seedlings, while not having them in full sun.
