I have a couple cacti, that have been living in fairly poor conditions and have been ignored for a while.
How would I go about reviving these guys? Should I even try help all of them? Although trying to revive them could be educational
I have no idea what I'm doing, so all comments are welcome.

Third, this one doesn't look as bad, but it has never gotten a chance to grow yet on its own, I dug it out to see if it even had any roots (bad idea?):

Re: Help reviving a couple cacti
Ummmm the first one im pretty sure is a goner. ..maybe u could try cutting it and seeing what its like in the inside if it has any healthy tissue left in it. The 2nd one should be fine if u pot it up on correct soil mix it should start sprouting an offset off the cut off top of the plant in some time. But this is my personal opinion for all i kno i could be wrong

Excuse me 1St a goner 2nd try cutting checking for healthy tissue like number 1
3 should be able to produce offsets Since its rooting

These look like Selenicereus sp. plants to me. Like richer, more organic containing soil. Try pot and water all of them at warm place, at least 20 deg. C, I would say. And read something about forest tropical cacti, you should be able to help them more than we would. These plants or cuttings are in condition when is nothing to lose for you. If some softness is left in their bodies, then is a chance for survival there too. Those with many roots all other the stem could be put laying on the ground too.
Hey, MarvinSBailey, did you tried something, are there any results. Give us some feedback if you asked for help here, please.

The roots on the one you dug up appear to be alive, I think it could make it.
