We have a 5' tall single stem plant that Grigsby sold my wife 24 years ago.
Is it divisible? Succulent or woody?
I'd like to cut 2 segments off-about a foot each- but will they root up?
I assume if I simply nipped a fresher bit from the top that a least the plant would branch.
I've heard it's not common, but there's nothing really distinguishing about it IMHO. But then, I'm a cactus guy.
Thanks for some advice.
Alluadia montagnacii propagation question
Re: Alluadia montagnacii propagation question
It can be cut and rooted in the summer months, say from late april into may. Standard rooting methods work. Cut, let dry for a week or so then stick in pumice in the shade.
I have done half a dozen A. Procera stems from six inches to 2 foot and they root easily.
I am told A. montagnacii roots easily as well and I will be chopping my four footer this summer.

Forget the dog...Beware of the plants!!!
