winter care
winter care
I'm getting my cactus ready for winter but I'm not sure what to do with the few succulents I have. I'll be keeping the GH around 50 for the cactus; I've brought the melos inside. I've been reading conflicting info on the net - no sh%t. What do you all recommend for winter prep? I have some lithops ( blooming right now ), a few aloes, haworthias, crassula & an adenium. Thanks for your help, Sue

Re: winter care
Euphorbias should be kept warm in the winter. And they might need a bit more water.
Re: winter care
Depends on what Euphorbias. The South African ones like E. obesa can handle temps in the 30s. I think it gets occasional frost in its native habitat. The ones from other parts of Africa including Madagascar do like some more warmth though.coldcactusmontreal wrote:Euphorbias should be kept warm in the winter. And they might need a bit more water.

The only euphorbias I have are obesa, horrida & a big crown of thorns which is bedded into the GH floor. Also have a faucaria & a monadenium. Sue
