Rooting Senecio haworthii

Post by otusasiotours »

Hi,

I recently repotted this Senecio haworthii. It was a bit top heavy due to one stem being much longer than the others, so I decided to cut it and try and root it. I've put it in a small pot with gritty mix (1/3 fine bark chips, 1/3 poultry granite, 1/3 turface). Will it root like this? Also, since the stem was so long I cut several inches off and stuck that in a pot as well. There are no leaves....just a piece of the stem. Will that take root? Thanks.

By the way, the picture is pre-repot. It was in a 2" plastic pot and kept falling over, so I had it in this larger terra cotta pot with some gravel to keep it stable.
