New Succulents Purchase from C&D

Post by Christopher Howard »

Howdy folks. I thought I'd share what I got from C&D in the mail today. I don't have experience growing any of these before, but I have to start some time. I repotted them in a mix of Napa #8822, Akadama, Perlite, and Vermiculite. They're in pots just big enough for the root systems. For now, I've got them in a place where they won't get rained on, and in sun for part of the day. They're up near the house, so it should probably be a bit warmer than out in the open.

The list is

Adromischus marianiae v. alveolatus
Monilaria pisiformis
Othonna clavifolia
Tylecodon decipiens
Tylecodon wallichii

I'm just letting them sit in their new pots for now while I try to find out what I should be doing for them right this moment of the season.

Here's a mini update. Pictures of the Monilaria pisiformis and the Tylecodon wallichii. The others look pretty close to how to were upon arrival so I haven't taken new pictures.

I have a question. Regarding my tylecodon, are the leaves a bit skinny? Will they fatten up? or is this a result of the growing conditions? Also, do I not have a bit many leaves compared to how they usually grow? Any comments on this?

Also, are these holes in between the old leave stems on the body of the plant where branches will eventually come out of?

Thanks.
