Re: Madagascar Palm, Club Foot (Pachypodium lamerei)
When its about 5ft tall or taller it might bloom. I've had mine for about seven years it's 2ft tall.

So when it is at its max height then. Its in doors at the moment as its cold in UK. Then i be putting it in the green house where it lives.cortez753 wrote:When its about 5ft tall or taller it might bloom. I've had mine for about seven years it's 2ft tall.

I have two from seed. Sown in 1998. Still only about 40 centimeters high, and I suspect far from blooming. Maybe by the time I retire it will bloom...

I purchased mine at the local nursery it was maybe 5 inches at the time. Mine is a Pachypodium geayi (also considered a madagascar palm) very similar to P. lamerii except has thinner leaves and spines and is more accustomed to arid conditions. Here is a picture I posted some time ago when I had a camera.Swizzy wrote:So when it is at its max height then. Its in doors at the moment as its cold in UK.
