Need help with this dyckia ID!

Post by nita96 » Sun Nov 05, 2017 9:03 am

I really want to know the name so, any help is appreciated! The grey coloured specks on the bigger one is new, wasn't there when I bought it. Also, it's a super slow grower, is that normal?

Too small for scale, also some dyckia species do have white specks.
There is no cactus you can't eat, but you just might regret it if you eat the wrong one.

Except those are transparent and resemble tufts of fuzz, like on other bromeliads. Also are more densely covering the leaf.In addition, the only one ive seen with specks is fosteriana, and neither does the plant or the spot pattern resemble it.
Recommend leaf closeup

I think it's an orthophytum 'star fall'. Thanks for the help though.
