How to Identify Aloe barbadensis miller stockton

Post by Haname »

Hi, I am going to get some pups from what is supposedly the stockton variety of aloe vera. Can someone tell me how I can identify it to be sure of what I am getting?

Thank you!

I suspect the answer is "No".
The "Stockton" type supposedly has particularly good healing properties, but I can't see any reference that it is visually distinct from other Aloe barbadensis. In fact, I don't think many people, apart from one obvious supplier, claim it has any particular benefits over any other Aloe barbadensis.
These supposed additional benefits of "Stockton" may well just be marketing hype, so I wouldn't worry too much.
