Interesting California Succulent

Post by coldcactusmontreal »

Does anyone know this one? I saw it hiking in northern California (Napa).

Does anyone know the name? It has a tuberous root and nice big pink flowers. Is it native?

I'm surprised no-one from California has posted.
The photos are very small, but maybe you have a Lewisia (Lewisia rediviva?) and a Dudleya (D. cymosa??)

That's weird, they were not small as I exported them. I think the forum shrunk them unfortunately.

It does not seem as if many people are posting here anymore :(

Okay you are definitely correct. That's the plant! And it's edible! :D

I knew the other one was a Dudleya, very cool to see them in nature.
