I've found a nursery in Brazil that have interesting plants. However, many of them are wrongly identified.
I'm interested in purchasing some.
One is called E. tortilis. But I've found in te internet E. tortirama, a very cool species. So I want to know if tortilis and tortirama are different species or are the same, and also I would like to know if this plant is indeed E. tortilis .
The other plant is Pachypodium bispinosum. A very cool plant, but the picture don't match to P. bispinosum in the internet.
Thanks in advance
Euphorbia tortilis x Euphorbia tortirama, and Pachypodium bispinosum

The picture you have of the P. bispinosum looks correct to me, the flower also looks correct for P. bispinosum. I purchased one a couple of weeks ago and it is coming out of it's bare root to potting shock. Very nice plant when mature. Don't know much about the Euphorbia in question.
Cheers.

Thank you very much, rsales, for replying. Another Pachypodium specialist (outside this forum) also confirmed that it is P. bispinosum (under full sun, the leaves become thinner).rsales3 wrote:The picture you have of the P. bispinosum looks correct to me, the flower also looks correct for P. bispinosum. Thank you
Anyone knows the Euphorbias mentioned? Thanks in advance

Thought I would share this picture of an incredible P. bispinosum that was offered for sale by Desert Creations Nursery at the recent OCCSS (Orange County Cactus and Succulent Society) Show and Sale. The DCN owner said it was at least 50 years old from Africa. I would say the caudex was at least 20 inches wide. Truly amazing!
