Stick Euphorbia?

Post by rsales3 »

Found this strange vine looking Euphorbia I think, at the CSFU Arboretum. Any ideas what it is? The branches appear to grow in segments, like bamboo.

At first glance I thought this was E. tirucalli but this plant does not appear to freely branch and the stems are much thicker than the common tirucalli I've seen and the several ones I have. Found this good article on "Stick Euphorbias" but could not make a positive id http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/2957#b

Thanks.

It looks like my Pedilanthus macrocarpus, which starts out growing upright but in time will fall over.
