Aloe zanzibarca vs. Aloe 'Minne Belle'

Post by NancySLAZ »

I would like to know what are the differences in these 2 Aloes. I am not sure what I have in 2 pots that are both marked A. 'Minnie Belle' but they don't seem to grow and look exactly the same. I thought one might actually be A. zanzibarca.

My guess is that the second one is not 'Minne Bell' and not A. zanzibarica either. It's grown different (or looks like) and leaf spotts seem to be different. The first one reminds me of A. 'Minne Bell' seen.

Yes, that is what I thought also. The tall one is not Aloe 'Minnie Bell.' It was labelled as such, but it came from Home Depot and I never trust their suppliers! Thanks for your help with the photos too. Too bad they seem to only load in landscape form!
