It's an Aloe. I don't know the species. It looks as though it needs a bit more light too.

Huh. Would've never guessed aloe.

How can you tell if it needs more light? It's all green and pretty compact, so I'm not seeing anything wrong. If it's based on the first picture, please keep in mind the pic's overexposed. So that's not a good representation of the color.
