Blooming now- stapelia

Post by jlumbtx »

I have a plant with 6-7 buds, 3 of which are open. I'm sure it is Stapelia but gigantia or clavicorna? Web pix show 5 petals, but mine has only 4.
Any ideas?

John

Additional: overnight one of the petals on a 4-petaled flower split so now the flower is a 5-petal. One 4-petal flower remains.

Still no ID on my plant. It is no longer a freak. One of the petals on the 4-petal flower split and all are now 5-petal flowers.
Very popular with flies.

Stapelia gigantae. I have 3 in hanging pots, with lots of blooms on all of them.
