Spotted spurge's older brother?

Spotted spurge's older brother?

I found this plant in south Florida growing near a sidewalk. I thought it looked similar to spotted spurge (Euphorbia maculata), which was growing right next to it. The more I look at it, though, the more I doubt that it's related. What do you think?
