Re: Aloe Identification help
Not an expert but you could try looking on here:
http://www.llifle.com/Encyclopedia/SUCC ... e_aculeata" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or just try putting in aloe and go through the various sites until you find a match. I have seen some similar to yours, and I also have a couple similar, but not a perfect match. Hope this helps you.

Re: Aloe Identification help
No, not Aloe lineata, as it only has teeth on leaf edges. At this young stage, hard to say, but could be one of a few...Aloe ferox, marlothii (& MAYBE aculeata). The leaves should turn, making a rosette, over time. Time will tell. Especially when it blooms (could be years waiting for that).

Re: Aloe Identification help
I also thought ferox Rosemarie as it is one that I have, but as you say it looks different when young and I didn't want "to put my foot in it". You are one of the ones that we all wait for in a succulent ID. Don't know how you remember them all. If I can recognise the gender I then have to look for the species, which can take an awful long time sometimes, then you often find several that are similar. That's when I resort to the forums for help.

Re: Aloe Identification help
You are too kind, Susi.
Yes, Mark, some succulents are very difficult to ID. Aloe are problematic in some ways, in that juveniles look way different than mature plants. I have one Aloe that was in a pot for years. In the beginning, I thought it was aculeata. I changed my mind, believing it might be marlothii. I got it PIG (planted in ground) & now I'm leaning toward ferox. Mine has yet to bloom. THAT will be the deciding factor!
Thank you for the additional photo. Unfortunately, that doesn't help me help you figure out its ID. Sorry.

Re: Aloe Identification help
Thanks for all your input Rosemarie, Ill keep searching.
Re: Aloe Identification help
Would it be to much to ask you guys to help me identified this other one? I believe is a Kalanchoe Tetrapylla but i'm not 100% sure.
Thanks
Mark

Re: Aloe Identification help
Looks like a Crassula arborescens
Re: Aloe Identification help
Thanks Teo, yes, it looks like, but I think Crassulas have thicker leaves. this one has very thin leaves and no branches.
Re: Aloe Identification help
This last one, Teo was on right track...is Crassula arborescens ssp. undulatifolia.

Re: Aloe Identification help
thank you so much Teo, Thank you Rosemarie, I don't know why I though it was a Kalanchoe.
