I need some help to ID or confirm some succulent species...

1 is crassula falcata and 2 is correct, and to prevent future misunderstanding, it is not c. Ovata 'hobbit' as gollum is often confused with that one, but hobbit has real, but extra thick leafs, and gollum has tubular leafs

Nice and healthy plants :)
What kind of growing medium are they in?? I remember seeing those at IKEA. Are they suitable for succulents?

I use old glass pots (chocolate spreads, gherkin, ...)
I'm not sure it's so good for roots, I will see.

Does it have a drainage hole? If not you'll eventually kill the plant. Also, are you growing it in sand?

David, I assume you are talking about those round balls. It kind of looks like Akadama (but may not be), which would be good in a soil mix, though those look too big to be any good. I think he's using it as a top dressing though which is fine.
