weird succulent?

That IS an odd-looking one! Can't say I've seen it before. It looks "sort of" like a couple things, but nothing firm. If it flowers for you, please post again! Where did you get it?

Its actually flowering! the buds are bright orangish! I got it from a local nursery, he only had one of these.

looks like a Kalanchoe x kewensis I once owned

I dont think its related to kalanchoe?

The buds have not opened yet. It would be great to see a pic when they do. One plant I thought was slightly similar is that Kalanchoe mentioned. But blooms are pink & only 4 petals. Your buds look like they have more than 4 petals. I'll be waiting to see open blooms.

My Kalanchoe looked like this and the blooms had 4 pink petals:

They call it a "walking kalanchoe" Synsepala Dissecta -try that

nope my leaves are fat and roundish. Its similar but not it...

It finally flowered! Now will anyone know what kalanchoe it is?

The blooms are doubles like those of Kalanchoe Calandiva series, but the leaves are not a match. Any possibility the leaves were hit with some poison spray? Sometimes leaves on my plants get deformed when that happens.
