Help with ID

My grandmother has an interesting succulent growing in her collection and asked me for help in Identifying them. I am hoping that you guys can help.

I believe that it is some Graptopetalum hybrid, but to be honest I am nowhere near sure.

Graptopetalum was my first thought, but is it getting much sun? It looks a bit elongated.

It is very sun starved, these plant's need full sun tell yr grandmother to slowly adjust it to stronger and stronger light until it's in full sun without it scorching

Also need more drainage in the mix it's in id suggest 50:50 cacti and succulent mix and perlite

OK so more sun check. But what makes you say that it needs more soil drainage? Also how cold hardy do you think it is?

Ok my latest working theory on the ID is Graptoveria Echeveria Alpenglow. I came across it by chance but there is a picture that looks nearly identical to the succulent I have.

Its very very thick and brown, it retains to much water perlite added to a cacti and succulent mix (sifted out the heavy material like twigs and stuff) allows the water to drain enough without the soil retaining to much water to make it drown or suffer any kind of over watering problems as much as it would, like the bottom leaves falling off or turning to mush or drying up.

It is difficult to say in its etiolated state. Once you've grown it in more sun & get compact growth, it might be easier to pin down. Just so you know, 'Alpenglow' is a synonym...the name would be xGraptosedum 'Bronze'...but, I'm not convinced that is your plant.

Work on the soil and the light situation and keep a good watering scedual and it will start compacting, then u can behead the plant and reroot it so it can be a small rosette again! Good luck hun
