ID Help, please

Post by EvaLynn »

I bought a few unlabeled succulents this past weekend and was wondering whether someone could help identify them. I'll post one here and two aloes in a separate entry.

I'm guessing this is some sort of Haworthia but I could be wrong. I'm new to the hobby and am often wrong since there are so many types of succulents I'm not familiar with.

This plant is in a 6-inch pot. Thanks for your help!

Haworthia is my guess too, but i forgot the second name, but as it is a pretty common succulent it prpbably won't belong before someone else ID's it

I was just looking an aloe ID page online, and I was wondering whether anyone thought this might be Aloe aristata.

Yes, it is Aloe aristata. Aloe haworthioides is a smaller plant with much smaller leaves.

Agree on Aloe aristata - it has been proposed to place it in its own genus, Aristaloe, however. Recent phylogenetic studies have found that it's not that closely related to other Aloes.
