I don't have many Old World succulents, but I do have a couple of nice Stapeliads here and there. I know (at least for me!) without flowers, I can't ID even to genus sometimes.
This is one I obtained with no ID in early 2013 that hasn't done anything until this mid-summer when it started to grow quite a bit and a couple of weeks ago sent out flower buds like mad.
The first few flowers opened up this weekend, so I did some searching for similar plants.
The best I can come up with is Orbea decaisneana. It looks like a pretty close match...but, knowing the diversity of the group, I was hoping someone here could either confirm my ID or point me in a new direction!
Any help is much appreciated!

It does look very similar - so don't eat it. This species was used for human and animal poisoning. Though, on the upside, the plant was used as a charm against evil.
