I bought this at my local garden store, labeled as Pleiosplios nelii.
It looks completely different than any of the numerous Pleiospilos "split rocks" that were there.
Can anyone please ID it? I'm hoping it's actually a Dinteranthus species. Thanks!
Pleiospilos or Dinteranthus "split rock" ?

Nope, that's a Pleiospilos too. Maybe if you are lucky it's a Tanquana, but I don't think so.
Could be a different Pleiospilos than P. nelii, though.

That's a Pleisopilos. Sure looks like P. nelii to me. It would be good to see it next to one that you think looks very different, to help judge the size, colour, and texture.

Thanks for responses on it being Pleiospilos. I'll have to keep looking for a Dinteranthus.

If you don't mind mail order, Mesa Garden lists a dozen or so.triiiangle wrote:I'll have to keep looking for a Dinteranthus.

Every day, after supper, Granny walks two miles. We haven't seen her in years.

Thanks for info. Amazing selection. It's good to have a seller I can try out.

Its a pleiospilos, P.Nelii can become elongated in low light, but they can get two heads. It could also be P. Compactus some of these are very rounded and branched.
The way to ell is the flowers.
Yellow, Autumn, P.Compactus.
Peach, Spring, P.Nelii.
