Got this hitchhiker from a S. kismayo two (2) years ago in a club meet. At first I thought it was a baby kismayo but turned out different. It's a very slow grower, having grown all the leaves you see in two years, the two dried leaves at the bottom was how big it was when i got it. Btw, it's in a 70cm pot (about 3 inches).

Thanks in advance,
Mac

I;m pretty sure that the plant in question is not a Pinguicula, I have a pinguicula and it's not even close, here's a pic of my pinguicula.

As you can notice that the ping's forms a rosette while the plant in question has a fan shaped growth. I can understand the confusion as I came to a similar conclusion (guess) when it was smaller, but the baby pings already form rosettes at an early stage.

Thanks,
Mac

What about S. Ehrenberghii Banana(Blue)?
Another option would be Lavranos 23295

Hi Hendry, I think your in the right track. I showed the same pictures to a couple of 'experts' and they came to the same conclusion, one says its a lavranos while the other Ehrenberghii.

Thanks

Hi Mac,

If its a slow grower i would say its Ehrenberghii(Banana), attached is mine....picture taken last year after 4 years in my care..Please notice the size of first leave when I bought that. Its in 10 cm pot

Cheers
Hendry
