my sister sent me these three pictures. asking ME what it is. And I have not the slightest ... can anyone help us out? I'm not sure if it helps or if it matters, but this little guy is only about 4 inches tall.

It is an Aloe, but it is too young to ID with confidence.

I just at this moment received word regarding the identity of this Aloe. And for the sake of public information, I now provide a Positive Identification:

Aloe aculeata

As small as this particular item is, it STILL has the spines so predominant in mature specimens.

I have two of these be careful the spines from the bottom leaves tend to puncture the upper leaves and they slowly deflate from THAT plumplook, i have two of these and stick pperlite in the spikes that grow to close to the fat part of the other leaves
