Hi all! I obtained the pictured cactus from a friend this weekend. The plant consisted of several of these similar-sized "pups"... though it has its own roots, so maybe it is several small cacti together? The plant pictured is tiny (c. 1/2" dia), and the rest of the plant it came from...

Absolutely! I am one of those that is enamored with those seasonal dead sticks otherwise known as ocotillos (Fouquieria)!
