Not as much as I talk to my dogs or other 4-legged friends but I do talk to the plants some... 'you need to move over here,' or 'ooh look you're getting bigger!' etc... Don't know if it helps or not but doesn't matter. It isn't likely that I would stop talking to them no matter how many times it was...

I always forget about this thread until someone posts on it again.

I guess it is time that I add mine too.

I had no idea that it was full grown! I've been waiting for it to get bigger but instead it just kept working on those offsets.

Paulzie- thanks for the link. I think all of the subspecies just confused me though. I think I'll just stick with the species for now lol.

little one...

I had no idea this little guy was big enough to bloom, and I never saw the bloom either. I was rearranging the sunroom today getting ready for winter and I found this little guy had a fruit! I know it is probably too small for an ID but anyone have any ideas? http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/...

That's why I wait to get large orders of plants. I pretend that I'm saving money because the shipping cost per plant is less. (How that logic works I'm not sure, can you really spend more to save more? )  I love that logic! It is the same reason that I will get multiple things at a time ...
