Re: qeustion about multiplying plan.

Then there raises ywo other qeustions. It blooms now, can i take cutting from and the cactus won't abort further blooming? And if i made a cutting, how do i need to sent it to have the biggest chance of survival of the cutting? I would predict that the cutting would probably stop blooming. But, I d...

Re: Need Gymnocalycium ID

Thanks Jens! :)

Also to OP: I do own G. anisitsii (new addition to my collection).
However, I have not seen any blooms yet.
So, my determination is based on online images of the blooms and plant body comparison.

I'll throw out an idea: Gymnocalysium anisitsii.
Someone with more experience can give a more absolute determination. :)

Re: Unknown Aloe

It could be (and looks a lot like) common Aloe vera (barbadensis).

A close-up of the leaf (Top and Bottom) would help with Identification.

Re: Jnspire 2012

Here is my Haworthia limifolia that bloomed recently (and still is blooming). Apparently it is also self fertile (or it accidentally got... "knocked up" haha). I found one lone pod near the bottom. I am hoping to get some seeds from it! :) Does anyone know more about the self fertility of ...

Re: Jnspire

This is a recent bloom from what I believe to be Gymnocalycium stenopleurum.
I would appreciate confirmation and/or suggestions.

I never should have been shown that live cam. That is something I would sit watching for 19 hours (minimum) per day. :/ Besides, there are BABY EAGLES!!! Re: Hello from Malta (Europe)

Well, just in case you don't feel fully welcomed yet (which I highly doubt). WELCOME! :D

Its great to have you.
I started out with cacti when I was about twelve.
I got three cacti from a neighbor who had them in coffee mugs. ;)

Re: Pereskiopsis cuts and some random Mamm's

I would take you up on your Pereskia/Pereskiopsis cuttings if you could ship to the states.

I doubt that you will have trouble moving them though. Plenty of people are often looking for good grafting stock! :)

Re: Many cacti to ID / Thanks !!

Eek... That's a lot of plants to ID in one post. hahaha... Pic 1: Both are Astrophytum Sp. of some kind. The one on the left looks like an Astrophytum myriostigma Pic 2: looks like a collection of Ferocactus Sp. I'll post more later on if I think of the names for any of them. For now I'll leave some...
