Opuntiad ID

Hi all! I was strolling through the DBG in Phoenix yesterday enjoying the 80 degree weather, and this Opuntiad was blooming nicely. At first, I thought it was a species of Consolea , but browsing through photos, I'm not so sure. Help please? Thanks, Tristan http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/40...

Two Opuntia IDs

Hi all! Obtained the following two unidentified Opuntia species today and was hoping for some help in IDing them for me. The first is reminiscent of O. paraguayensis , but also looks a lot like O. elata from the pics I can find in that the pads are more elongated. Almost no glochids (though they are...

He published the re-discovery with a description (and photos) of the flowers this year in: Davide Donati: Nuovo studio sul gruppo clavata del genere Corynopuntia Knuth: riscoperta di C. agglomerata...

I think about getting new plants all the time. :confused2: :dontknow: I particularly like the idea of planting in full sun during the winter, to give some of these guys a chance of surviving their first summer here. Planting in winter is what I find works best for me too - but not sooner than Janua...

Very beautiful! Can't wait to see pics of them all the way open! Really nicely grown too. Are these all in-ground? Some of mine I noticed buds on yesterday too - namely, M ammillaria hernandezii & Thelocactus lausseri . Can't wait for these to open as both will be new blooms for me. Mammillaria ...

Going to do some C&S shopping today! :D
