8) Ok so after digging thru old threads/posts from back 2009 there was some disscusion on this cactus as to what it is or could be :roll: Melocactus azureus ssp. ferreophilus?? From what i have been seeing and reading on this is that it varies alot and theres 2 diffrent forms one with lighter spines and body and one with darker spines and body. Some pics i came across look just like mine and then some pics dont guess it depends on its age maybe? As the ones that are smalle...

I've bought one or two of these arrangements before, except the ones I got had a layer of varnished/epoxy covered gravel on the top. I removed the gravel layer and separated the plants out to individual pots. They're all doing quite nicely now and you'd hardly knew they came from something like tha...

:shock: OUCHY!! i have a few that got sunburned as well not that bad but bad enough and that was from the mornning sun. :roll: And to boot there cacti that have taken full sun from the get each spring. I just put the ones that got burnt in lower light for awhile and gradualy moved um to more sun but...

Here ya go Sue, this is how mine looks, first pics are of it with dry spines, it gets sun almost all day long when we do have sunny days. :roll: Its been nasty and rainy here for several days now.
