Re: Christmas cacti/succulent wishlist :)

I'm not picky, but here's my Ideal Christmas Cactus Wish List: Arrojadoa giuliettiana Arrojadoa paradoxa Arthrocereus glaziovii Borzicactus sylvaticus Brasilicereus markgraffii Cipocereus laniiflorus Cleistocactus (=Cephalocleistocactus) chrysocephalus Cleistocactus grossei Cleistocactus hadrossoma ...

Re: Wonderfulcactus seeds

I order from Pedro all the time. Despite the fact that I absolutely hate the format of his lists (MS Word is the absolute worst option for a list that extensive and updates often and includes items sold out and from previous lists), communication is top rate (I communicate with Pedro thru FB), and s...

Re: Wanted! Coleocephalocereus of any kind

Bach's (Tucson) - as mentioned above - has had C. goebelianus plants for sale the past year, but they don't ship to my knowledge. Arid Lands (aridlands.com) has C. aureus plants and does ship (www.aridlands.com). Succulenta (www.succulenta.com) offers seeds to non-members (after member orders are sa...

Re: Is Koehres open?

I placed an order at the end of June 2020, and almost immediately received an email stating this: " Due to the increasing spread of the Corona virus and the associated derivation or delivery restrictions, delivery to this destination is currently not possible. We don't know how long this will b...

I have seeds to swap also if someone prefers a trade.
Thanks!
I have some to spare. Send me a list of what you have to trade in a PM.

Cheers,
Tristan

Re: Thread for updates on International Trade of Seed and Plant?

I think there may have been a slight misunderstanding as to why Koehres is not shipping to certain countries; it seems to specifically surround the difficulties in shipping caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. I ordered from Koehres, and they returned the following message: "Due to the increasing s...

Re: looking for Coleocephalocereus purpureus

Anyone know where I could get Coleocephalocereus purpureus seeds or a plant? I have been looking for a while with no luck. I did finally buy some seed off Ebay from a seller that did not have stellar feedback. Needless to say, none germinated. I have C. aureus and would really like to find C. purpu...

Re: Looking to buy/trade for Borzicactus

Hi Tristan- I'm fairly confident that I've seen Borzicactus/Cleistocactus icosagonus (and potentially others on your list) for sale within the last year at Poot's Cactus Nursery in Ripon, near Modesto. In our current situation in California I'm not sure whether their retail business is still open r...

Re: Recent local club meeting...

I also have some things for the auction table, as well, but I wasn't sure what the process was. I think the process starts with showing up earlier! That's correct, Tim. There will be blank Silent Auction forms and pencils at the edge of the tables. Just fill them out (one per plant), and place your...

Re: A few questions concerning some species

I've grown many Clistanthocereus (=Borzicactus) samnensis from seed. They are easy and relatively fast-growing. I do not do anything special for them at all.

Re: Recent local club meeting...

We hope to see you at more CACSS meetings, TimN! The Escobaria sp was one I brought (I usually bring a few goodies for the auction table each month). Don't forget, we also have a Propagation Education Group (PEG) of the CACSS that meets every other month, and we always have give-aways (usually raffl...

Re: Reliable seed source?

Apparently, the little push is what it took. I received the seeds from Gerardo today!
Just in time to get them in my next sowing batch. So, from ordering/paying on November 20th, to reception on Feb 13th...about 3 months.
Could be worse. ;)
