Finally there are the first signs of life on the cold hardy cacti.
The Pediocactus is in an unheated cold frame the whole year. So the higher temps are an advantage on sunny days in early spring.

Something more like to start in these days. I didn't know the ysabelae flowers that early at the year. Mine didn't flowered at all.
Maybe they require some water at this time if the temperatures are fine for them.

I'm wondering that you never heard about Mammillaria saboae ssp. roczekii.
It was already described by Rischer and Krüger in 2003.
It is a really nice plant and I like its flowers.

My outdoor season is already finished since some weeks. At the end of October I've erected the usual rain cover.
That was the last what I've done for the flowerbed this year.
