Para,
Your Aloe photo certainly would deserve the first price but it's actually not permitted in this competition  :P

That is the only photo in this series I didn't take. I think John Durham took it.

There is new growth of roots on a grafted Yavia or of an Ariocarpus retusus tuber: http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/2562_IMG_5075_1.jpg http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/2562_IMG_4254_1.jpg There...

Hi Tony, and do you remember those rocks? There, in the (almost) flats or wash near the road I found Phellosperma tetrancistra in December '09 also. http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/2562_DSCF0007_1.jpg During the biannual CSSA convention in San Diego I'll be the guide on a bus trip to Anza Bo...

Peter, I recently found that out also: All sales are final no refunds or returns . Why I ordered from them is a longer story. Europeans found out CK offers Backebergia militaris and asked me to order and forward the plants to them. When I checked their web site I saw CK is also offering "2 gall...

No, not that I'm aware of. There is a place called the Cactus King, but I've heard it's more art than cacti. The website is kinda vague. ... By my own recent experience with Cactus King I have to add: Very disappointed by the style of his mail order business: -Asks by far too much for shipping -Doe...

...CactusJordi - Your plant must be a Pilosocereus species I'm sure, but looking over the NCL pics and Zappies book, I can't say which. :? Daiv, not only you cannot say which but even the expert Pierre Braun is stumped. Most likely it is a hybrid between a Discocactus and a Coleocephalocactus. Jordi

daiv wrote:Fantastic pics! Shmuel, I think your plant is a Facheiroa, but I've seen so few of these, it is hard to say for sure.
With respect to the color of the cephalium it could be Facheiroa ulei. But not sure because I have never seen one in person.
