1st one is a yucca, which im pretty sure is a succulent??
If you want babies off it, cut them off even to the main stem, let them callous over and pot them like a cactus or any other succulent.

So what would cause the abortion of buds so frequently?
If mine looks like that CP, I'll be wrapped.
As i read in the topic Saguaro linked me to, it's a shame that it is sterile, i have a few Echinopsis i would have like to mix it with.

Echinopsis "Haku jo"....

I was wondering, has anyone got one that has flowered?
During this last summer, when i purchased the plant, it seemed that it kept aborting flower buds.

I googled the plant but couldnt find a photo of an actual Haku Jo flowering ( i admit i didnt look too hard)

I love it CP might have to look out for this one.
Lately ive been buying alot of Echinopsis species, preferably with different coloured flowers. Even though theyre hybrid's once i plant them all together and they flower together, it will be quite a show.

Thanks Tony, it was the columnar i was referring to.
Ill go with that Id, i just googled it and it seems it will take very little frost before the growing tip is damaged. Looks like mines gonna be a multi multi branched specimen :(
