Those are our only native cactus. Our landscape was full of color a few weeks ago! Looks kinda odd seeing all the O humifusa aka O compressa blooming, and NO desert! BTW: The O humifusa makes outstanding grafting stock as well.

TY, Tony. Some years it makes a full ring of flowers. My R flavistyla is a rather squat plant, not globular and upright like the one you posted. Hob should know yours.

I do NOT think it is R flavistyla, but don't know what it is. I'm not 100% sure it isn't, but mine looks different than that one.
