I dis agree Hob, my baldanum looks the same as Ken and Tony's, with myne bearing pink flowers, plus it came labeled as G.baldanum.

Looks like you just lost your bet alot of times over :P

Im not really a fan of this plant, nor the non-monstrose form, but id love one as old and tree like as this one :)

Its also interesting how some stems have reverted back to normal growth and have become non-variegated.

Absolutely awesome, ive been thinking about getting into columnars alot more, as they come by around here alot, and you always find one you havent seen before. But nothing as good as those :)

Not to jump the gun, but perhaps he just wants a nice blooming Loph, but all he knows them as are Peyote cactus?

But say a nice 4-6yro plant leads me to think otherwise.
