Really confused

I have a small cacti, and it's identity completely escapes me. It's got rather large tubercles that end in a single long spine about 1/2-1 inch long, and between 6 and 7 smaller spines surrounding it on a small white tuft at the areole. Also, when it's damaged, it secretes a pure white sap. Any idea...

Re: Not sure if I should worry or not

The bugs are much too small to get a picture of. Yet there are no abnormalities on any of my plants. I used a spray of 1 part methalted(sp?) spirits and 3 parts water with a touch of soap and gave the whole collection a spray down, Now I see no signs of the bugs at all

Not sure if I should worry or not

I notice slight movement on my cacti and looking closer I saw insects moving around. There were only two bugs amongst all of my plants, about the size of two grains of sand (really tiny), white, and relatively fast moving. What could they be, should I worry for my plants, and what can I do to get ri...

Rot problem

I ordered 36 cacti from a seller on amazon and the recently arrived but I hadn't gotten around to repotting then untill today. One of them was a 4 inch tall cactus that was about an inch thick. I noticed the bottom three inches were VERY very weak to a point where the plant was laying down. Upon fur...

Is it really that hard to find a single cutting?

I'm looking for a 6-8 inch cutting of either pachanoi or Trichocereus peruvianus. But apparently that specific size and amount don't exist on the Internet. Can anyone please help me out?

Well, I plan on going green and using solar power (which should become cheaper over the next few years, so powering a heating system isn't an issue. And as for speed of growth, I'm not to worried, I have a whole lifetime ahead of me

Locating, location, location

Hey everyone, I was just hoping for some input from people living in the mid west to west coast range. I'm considering norther Nevada as a location to move to and open a cacti greenhouse. I love snow, other wise I'd move some where more arid and farther south. Which states are the best for warm dry ...

You could try what I did when the temperatures ib my house and outside were too cold for germination. Get a small aquarium, and invest in a lizard heat pad that allows for temperature control, and a heat lamp (probably gonna cost around 30 dollars total maybe more) put the heat pad in the aquarium, ...

Ga3 should allow for the germination of nearly all seeds within two days. Also, ga3 can spur rapid, RAPID, growth, to a point that is on par with grafting

Actually Tony, a large majority of the seeds that I do have were originally from you. Or atleast I'm fairly certain they are. I'll gladly by a pack of each kind of seed you have though
