O. humifusa is mostly an Eastern Cactus.. I dont think that they are native to AZ, nor any states that are close by, but I could be wrong.

Re: Tragic fire in Arizona

I am sure this made the news all around the world. I live not that far from where the fire is. It's over the mountains from us. More info is comin...

Re: Tragic fire in Arizona

?John, I am ready when there is a fire that is threatening us, the fire by Yarnell is burning off to the north and east more. Right now that fire doesn't threaten us, but these days I am always ready. In 2005 me and my ex-wife were prepared to leave during the Cave Creek complex fire.. The results a...

Tragic fire in Arizona

A fast moving lightning caused fire in Arizona has killed 19 firefighters and injured 20 more. Unconfirmed reports are that the town of Yarnell is burnt down. At this time it's believed all the residents are ok, but who knows for sure. I am sure there will be more updates tomorrow. RIP fire fighters!

Re: Lophophora...legalities question

Everything's bad for you and has side effects, but you cannot live without many of them in the required quantities. Most substances are toxic if taken in overlarge doses, including water, but you can't keep enough down at a time to poison you, though you can drown in it trying! Agreed tea and...

Re: Heat in AZ/Cali deserts

All my plants are very unhappy and no amount of watering can get them to perk up again. My cacti seem to be content with it, though :D hahaha I hate heat+...

Re: Heat in AZ/Cali deserts

yes the heat will be wide spread.. and hot.. .. All I know is that I am worried about some of my plants. it might get too hot for them.. for how dry they are.
