West-central Arizona succulent

Does anybody know what this succulent is? I saw hundreds of them blooming south of Bagdad, AZ this past June. It was quite a show. Sorry, I have no close-ups of the plant itself. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b39/CFODAL/succulent2.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b39/CFODAL/succulent3.jpg

The pictures show up if you: (1) Follow the link. (2)Next, remove the last character (or more) from the http address. (3) Press enter key, which will bounce you back to the host site. (4) Finally, click the back button and the pics will be displayed.

Hopefully not everybody will have to do this!

Every one of the links you have posted leads to a blank page. Can anyone else see the images?

Is this a stapelia?

I always figured this for a cactus, but I've never seen or smelled a flower like that before. Imagine my surprise when I sniffed the flower and it smelled like hamburger meat!

Arizona cactus help

Anyone know this cactus? I found it near Sierra Vista, Arizona. I think the area is Chihuahuan desert-like. The cactus is no more than 5 cm in diameter and has a low lying crater around it. I doubt I would have spotted it if it did not have flowers or fruit on it. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b...
