Cabn you shoot number 2 a bit more sideways on? It's not clear if it's more or less ball shaped or a bit columnar. Although it may be too young to have adopted its adult shape anyway. Did you sterilise the compost befpore sowing the "Crassula" seeds? If not, the grass may have already been in the compost. Crassula seed is (mostly?) tiny, and the seedlings astart off tiny, so sowing it on a surface of coarse sand or very fine grit may be a good idea. Hello, I germinated...
