I grow Lithops in sandy soil Plus Pumice 50% -50% . I think DG will work fine mixed with some kind of soil . There is a grower in the San Fernando valley that grows hundreds of Lithops in that kind of soil mix. "Succulents of the Veld ." What kind of soil IDK I think most people buy someth...

Rainwater something about it really helps . storing it is not the same as when it falls out of the sky . M herrerea is always a tricky plant to germinate , somtimes 100% mostly about 10% .

Usually you can see the tiny white insect under its shell if its scale . You scrape them off but they come back . scale infestations on my cactus always came back after scraping it off . they come off pretty easy and grow back fast I think they live in the soil before climbing on the plant and makin...

I like to re-pot in winter also, plants are not full of water and soil is dry plus its not hot. And I wont water for awhile which is also a good idea when transplanting cactus.

Cochemiea theresae save any seeds that didn't germinate I have noticed they will germinate for the next 2 or 3 years.
