Re: For sale or trade
I have one seed pod from the plant in my avatar that is still maturing on the cactus but I hope to have more soon...since this cactus needs repotting.

Re: For sale or trade
Thanks Barracuda_47! There is one unusual cacti or succellent that I'd like to have from South America that I wanted last year but I don't remember what it is right now. I'd have to look it up again but it was not available anywhere last year. Some of my cacti are just starting to bloom and I will p...

Re: Dean (amanzed) growing in NE Los Angeles
Dean.....the blue crates come from grocery stores where fruit and vegetables were transported in them. If you go to supermarkets and ask them do they have any, they will probably give them to you for free.

Re: For sale or trade
This is one of them, since I bought a very big cactus just like this one last year, do you know what's it called? http://i45.tinypic.com/2ag40gk.jpg I have a single cactus like this one that I didn't realize I already had. Can you tell me the name of this cactus and if it ever flowers? I only see th...

Re: Big succulent?
Thanks Dean! Darryl let me know about it not flowering but once and Tony told me its full name. It is an attractive plant all by itself, but I probably will not get another one after learning about it. I have limited space and would rather have cacti that flower instead of the ones that dont.

Re: trade/sell
Anthony, I can't see the pics of your cacti and I'm interested in your Ferocactus Latispinus to trade. Which image hosting site do you use? I use tinypic, since they have been on the internet a long time and are easy to use and upload quickly without all the ads like the bigger pic hosts Photobucket...

LUV all your flowering cacti Jens, especially the Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus! I have never seen one like that (I buy all my cacti at Lowes) and want to know if you sell them since it looks like you have them all in a lovely greenhouse?

Re: Dean (amanzed) growing in NE Los Angeles
I just LUV all the flowering cacti you have, especially the Neoporteria floccosa! Looking at all the different flowering cacti on this forum, I never knew there are so many varieties and botanists are creating more with hybrids. I just don't have the space to put them all, where do you put your cact...

Re: Cynthia's Flowers 2012
Thank you sundanz, I also have that hot setting western sun in my front yard and the cacti love it! But flower bed is shaded by scrub pines in my front yard because gardenia's, azalea's, hibiscus and my other flowering plants don't like that full hot sun. I have also had to move some trees to more s...

Re: Cynthia's Flowers 2012
Thank you sundanz! I am fairly new at tending to cacti myself. I probably bought my first one to put on my front deck about six years ago. It was doing so well, I just kept adding more and then they started flowering. Now I purchase new ones just for the flowers that they may produce and try not buy...
