Took this hedgehog cactus (Echinocereus sp.?) photo just outside of Carlsbad Caverns NP...if my memory is correct.

If It is M. plumosa then I managed to not only get a renegade seed in with the pectinifera I ordered from MesaGarden...but also choose it for grafting!
I might end up being sorta unpleasantly surprised, heh.

Probably the soil is too rich but nothing you can do about that now. You didn't choose the easiest species :shock: Just keep them warm and shaded and let them do what they do. Don't keep the soil saturated, at least once you think most of the seed has germinated, but try to keep the humidity high. ...

Some of my seedlings.
These are all about 2-3.5 weeks old. Most all seed was purchased from MesaGarden I dont have much experience growing from seed and am a bit concerned my soil mix is too rich...hopefully I am wrong.
