Re: How to separate......?
Thanks for the info. Yeah they are hybrids. Was just messing around, last year. I like the idea of just potting them up. Should just graft up a couple and re-cross them with the pungens. Would like a long spined mihanovichii, not sure if that is possible. But fun to play with :) And definitely not d...

Re: Propagator hazard
Wow that really sucks! Sorry for the loses.
Can not speak on a lot of these, but the Oretgo, Digi and Astros I would just harden off. Not sure how long they have been bagged, but they all do fine after like 4 weeks or so.
Now to think about when I bought my timer.

May just give that a try. Will be ordering some Fongarid here in the near future. See if that does the trick.
Otherwise, green areoles it is then

They look great Paul!
Now we just sit back and compare the growth of your ACMs vs. mine on own roots. Going to be interesting to see where they are, a year from now. And who gets flowers first.

Re: Coleochaelocereus Aureus problem----
Did not realize this was a common thing, among some species.
I imagine hitting it with a dilute hydrogen peroxide be ok? Maybe can just spray it with a hose afterwards, and flush it off? Or a tooth brush, lol.

Coleochaelocereus Aureus problem----
Hey all, have not checked in for a bit. Just noticed this 2 days ago, and sprayed it with 3 in 1. It almost looks like mold, and is creeping its way to the growth point. I know we have high constant humidity here, but this is the only plant I see this issue with. Hopefully you can clearly see the &q...

Re: Looking for central FL. cacti enthusiasts...
Pokey, Hey I am about a hour south of you. Would be happy to talk cacti, even though I have been very busy lately. Part of why I have not posted here in a while. This is really late notice, but the Tampa C&S sale is tomorrow. Me, Paulzie and person from another group are all meeting up there. We...

Hey K, Glad you got the new property! Do you think this land is going to have the same flooding issues as the last one? Or is it all about the same no matter where you are located there? Still going to use copper on the table legs, along with the moat? Might not hurt just in case a few make there wa...

Re: First grown from seed attempt
Ugh that sucks Peter. I just got done dealing with those in my grafting trays. Am not sure if just misting with hydrogen peroxide is going to kill them off. What I have read about them is the larva live in the top 2" of soil and go dormant when the soil dries out. The flies have a 7 day life cy...

Hehe, sorry I fail to check back here a lot. I wound up getting 4 pads from Darryl.
Went smooth as to be expected. Nice and healthy and already had roots coming out. They are putting out new segments already.
Thanks Darryl

Re: Some new grafts
Good idea on the tags. A friend of mine had an entire table collapse. Everything had stick labels and when the plants hit the floor the labels went all over the place. He is now writing the info directly on the grafting stock. Obviously not that easy to do on Pereski, but on larger stock I think its...

Re: Lophophora...legalities question
Maj, No we have dumb laws not "interesting" ones, lol. I so wish Kada (Loph) would jave time to chime in on this but he has been very very busy lately. He could talk to no extent on this subject. He had a article he wrote published towards the end of last year on this very matter. But for ...
