does cacti need to feel soft or rock hard?
My gymno feels rock hard and my peyote feels soft. Is that normal?

I crapped myself when i saw the shippingcosts for a 62 grams package for the us. It costs 17,10 euro and in order to get so much on the package i need to buy 18 1 euro world stamps.

I thought i would share this with al of you. This friday i am going to "invade" oostende and "occupie" it till monday(that monday i am going further with my elonghata cuttings). Then i have the teusday off(holidays). wednesday or thurday exam training and the rest of the week off...

For pictures that might be uploaded on a forum or on facebook, i use a compact digital camera, for the rest i use a yashica 300 or a minolta XG-M.

My qeustion is, how can i produce a cactus with a cutting. I already tried it but failed miserably(to early). I hear and read several things. ! is, dry the cutting for a week til ten days, put it half it's length in the ground. And then it splits. Some water it and some don't. The second thing i hea...

Honesty is the best thing you can have. I allways say, be honest to me. The biggest cutting i can make is 2 cm. I wil send a few more with it to have the most chance one will survive.

The first batch of seeds i had sown were doing great until a few weeks ago. They do not grow but they seem to shrink. What is going wrong?

Then there raises ywo other qeustions. It blooms now, can i take cutting from and the cactus won't abort further blooming? And if i made a cutting, how do i need to sent it to have the biggest chance of survival of the cutting?

qeustion about multiplying plan.
I got a mam. elonghata and i have one qeustion. If i would take a cutting, pot that and after it had rooted and all the stuff had happened, the cutting and the plant it came from, would bloom at the same time. Would it be possible to pollinate them and get viable seeds?
