Hi, may I ask where you get your limestone that small? I am struggling to find anywhere that offers say 25 - 50kg rather than a full dumpy bag, or who do less than 10mm size.

Charlie - all my plants are on wire shelving from Lowes. I just use a hose spray, except when I fertilize. Watch that the ones on the bottom don't get too much dripping from above. Hey, i'd guess the browning at the base is basal rot probably from overwatering, your compost looks pretty rich, may be worth mixing a free draining compost for them, like 50/50 potting compost and grit is the easiest, but if it is rot you'll need to cut it off to where the cut is all green inside -...

The first one could be a Parodia horstii (not sure about that though), the middle one looks like Echinocereus pectinatus (pretty sure about that), and the bottom one looks like Coryphantha clavata subsp. stipitata, hope thats a good start Dan!
