Does anyone know what could be causing the brown spots located around the glochids of my O.microdasys? I first noticed them a week or two ago, and they seem to slowly be getting larger. What could be causing this?

Now that I think about it, the newspaper I was holding the cactus with did have a lot of orange ink. Or maybe something happened when I removed the red straw flowers from the top. As long as there's no lasting damage done, I'm perfectly fine with it.
