Some kind of euphorbia

This looked interesting so I picked it up yesterday, the label only says "Euphorbia Asstd. / Euphorbia" whatever that means. I've don't know much about euphorbias so no idea what the one I have here is. Thanks!

Re: Solid Red Seedling???

Yeah usually I'd say too much light but if the others are green it might just be a weird one. No point in removing it really, just see what happens; might turn green eventually or it might stay red and not accomplish much.

Re: cosmo's grafts

Hello, haven't done many grafts recently but I did get one more trichocereus (pachanoi v. santaensis) to connect, and failed on a couple others. Here's the two that I did a while ago, they've gotten a bit bigger. thumbnail_20190118_151849.jpg Lophophora diffusa thumbnail_20190118_152005.jpg Trichoce...

Re: cosmo's seedlings

Hello, I haven't posted for a while, been busy/lazy. I don't really have any pictures or anything right now but I just want to leave a note that these seeds were planted today: Astrophytum asterias Coryphantha odorata Echinocereus subinermis Ferocactus glaucescens Parodia erubescens Trichocereus hyb...

Re: Fungus gnats in seedling trays

Hmm it comes up on amazon.ca but it says it's currently unavailable.. other than that I'm not sure if I'd be able to find it around here. It's mostly under control for now but if problems arise in the future I'll have to do some more research. Thanks!

Re: Fungus gnats in seedling trays

Yeah I might have to do that.. there's a lot less of them now but if I leave the lids on they might come back in full force. There doesn't seem to be much damage done but I suppose it's all underground as of now. I'd like to put the lid back on some day but I might end up just taking it off permanen...

Re: Fungus gnats in seedling trays

Yeah I think maybe I'll just take the lids off for a couple weeks to dry them out, most of the seedlings are plenty big enough to be exposed now. Any idea how long the gnat eggs stay alive after drying out? I'd like to put the lids back on some day if possible, but a lot of people would probably adv...

Fungus gnats in seedling trays

Hello, I seem to be raising a decent population of fungus gnats in my seedling trays. I've sprayed a couple times with Safer's insecticidal soap but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick, might kill some of the adults but by the next day there seems to be a bunch of new ones. Most of them are probab...

Re: Grow light recommendations

I've got a couple of very similar lights that I've got probably 20 ziploc bags of seedlings under and they seem to like it, just enough light without being too bright. I'm not sure if they'd be enough when they grow past the seedling stage, but for the time being they work real well

Yes indeed, Don Van Vliet aka Captain Beefheart. Those Kitukos look very interesting, I order from Koehres all the time but never really noticed those

Re: A cellar full of seedlings

Looks great, the black spines on that one copiapoa are real nice. I actually have my own sinocrassula yunnanensis seedlings going because I saw your picture earlier this summer and I wanted to grow them, so thanks for the inspiration. They do grow pretty fast, I'll have to do some transplanting one ...
